K-Taping® is a drug-free therapy that supports the healing of many illnesses and relieves pain. The range of possibilities includes, among other things, the treatment of muscle contractions, joint instability, lymphatic edema, incontinence and period pain. K-Taping® has quickly become an important pillar of modern therapy. One example among many others is post-operative care for breast removal. The lymphatic app here effectively supports the therapy between lymphatic drainage sessions. This effective concept has its place in high-level sport. The patient maintains full mobility, quality of life increases. Training remains possible despite injuries and rehabilitation phases are reduced. There are few sports disciplines that do not use K-Taping® to support the athlete during training, prevention and rehabilitation.
K-Tape®:
For correct application of K-Taping® therapy, a specially designed Tape, the K-Tape® sport strap is required. Thanks to the quality of the material used (waterproof membrane but allowing evaporation), it is possible to wear the Tape with great comfort and without discomfort for several days, sometimes even up to two weeks. Its elasticity is comparable to that of human muscle. K-Tape® adheres to the skin thanks to its corrugated acrylic layer and is activated by body heat. The durability of the tape, containing no medication or adhesive substances, remains the same whatever the patient does: at work, during sports, while showering, swimming and for all activities of daily life. The therapy therefore maintains its effect as long as the muscle band remains in place.
How it works:
The different applications of K-Taping® allow for very varied therapeutic uses. The most frequently used are:
- Improvement of muscle function: depending on the application, a toning or detonating effect is obtained.
- Joint support: by stimulating the proprioceptors, the movement of the joint is improved, the ligament applications stabilize it passively.
- Pain reduction: a reduction in pain is obtained by activating the endogenous analgesic system and stimulating the mechanoreceptors.
- Activation of the lymphatic system: during lymph retention, K-Taping® helps decongestion by creating more space between the skin and the injured part and thus promotes better lymph circulation.
Do the different colors of K-Tape® have the same characteristics?
All K-Taping® tapes, regardless of color, are manufactured in the same way, have the same tension and the same mechanical properties. Aside from K-Tape® Pure, which has been oxygen bleached and not bathed in color (to meet a growing patient demand to wear a discreet tape). It is therefore more flexible, soft and even better tolerated by the skin. Originally designed only in red and blue (the effects of chromotherapy being controversial because there is no scientific support for the action of the wavelength on the cell), kinesiology bands were used in a rather stimulating and soothing setting. .
Dimensions: L. 22 mx l. 50mm.
Available in 4 colors: Beige, Fuschia, Blue, Black
96% cotton, 4% spandex and Physiobond acrylic glue
